Rate of Pay: $23.24- $23.88

Purchasing is currently seeking a Casual/Relief Material Handler to join their team.

-Selection of stock and delivery of supplies and equipment throughout the hospital.
-Transfer and placing orders for a variety of Medical/Surgical supplies with the use of 'hand held' terminals.
-Assist with inventory counts, quarterly audits and checks
-Reconciling and documenting inventory discrepancies as requested by management
-Use of computer system to locate items, inventory, data entry, etc.
-Specific duties will be based on assignment.
-Treating all staff, patients and visitors with courtesy, dignity and respect.
-Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality, availability and performance required.

-1-2 years of experience in a similar environment.
-Minimum of grade 12 or equivalent required.
-Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal required.
-Previous experience in a computerized purchasing/shipping/receiving department
-Strong organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment with competing priorities.
-Demonstrated strong time-management skills including adherence to tight deadlines.
-Basic MediTech and Microsoft Office Suite skills and knowledge a requirement
-Experience with Supply Chain and Logistic principles
-Good understanding of workplace safety rules and regulations
-An understanding of clinical practices and the role consumable supplies play in these practices
-Ability to manage some heavy lifting of boxed product on a daily basis
-Excellent time management skills including adherence to tight deadlines.
