Joseph Brant Hospital is currently recruiting an innovative and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Occupational Therapy Team on a temporary full-time basis.

Practicing in this fast paced environment, the Occupational Therapist (OT) will work in collaboration with the inter-professional team to provide quality, patient centered care. Working with patients with a variety of diagnoses and conditions, the OT will administer comprehensive standardized and non-standardized assessments, develop relevant goals and treatment plans, implement leading practice interventions, evaluate progress, and assist with discharge planning.

This position will work occasional weekends (approximately 1 in 7) and the successful candidate must be available to work shifts between the hours of 7:30am and 6:00pm.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Baccalaureate or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent is required.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapy in Ontario is required.
- Current Membership in either CAOT and/or OSOT is required.
- Practice in accordance with COTO standards and code of ethics.
- Knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice and care pathways
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and manage caseload volumes
- Displays strong decision making and problem solving abilities
- Ability to educate and provide clinical supervision to support personnel and students
- Experience in wheelchair seating and positioning preferred
